Overview

This standard includes 8-way shielded fixed and free connectors. It specifies the dimensions and transmission properties for frequencies of up to 600 MHz. These connectors are typically used as category 7 connectors and in cabling systems of class F according to ISO/IEC 11801, they are intermateable and interoperable with other IEC 60603-7 series connectors. The responsible Committee is K 651 "Steckverbinder" ("Connectors") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) of DIN and VDE.
