This standard specifies terms for high-voltage direct current (HVDC) power transmission systems and for HVDC substations using electronic power converters for the conversation from a.c. to d.c. or vice versa. The responsible Committee is K 331 "Leistungselektronik" ("Power electronics") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) of DIN and VDE.

Replacement amendments

This document replaces DIN EN 60633:2000-04 .
