Overview
This test code for the determination of airborne acoustical noise applies to electric thermal storage room heaters having forced convection output, designed for placing on the floor, for wall-mounting or for building-in. These particular requirements do not apply to controlled output thermal storage heaters with natural convection, free output thermal storage heaters, permanently installed central storage heating systems or their parts. The following modification has been made with respect to DIN EN 60704-2-5:2006-04: - IEC 60704-1 has been added as a new reference standard. The responsible committee is Subcommittee DKE/UK 513.4 "Heiz- und Wärmegeräte" ("Heating appliances") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
