DIN EN 60848:2014-12

International Standard 60848 defines a graphical design language for the functional description of the behaviour of the sequential part of a control system. This design language is called GRAFCET. Required symbols and rules for the graphical representation as well as the interpretation of this language are part of the standard, but not its implementation. The application mainly aims at automated production systems of industrial application. However, no particular area of application is excluded. The responsible committee is DKE/K 113 "Produktdatenmodelle, Informationsstrukturen, Dokumentation und graphische Symbole" ("Product data models, information structures, documentation and graphical symbols") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
