This part of the DIN EN 60851 series of standards describes the following test: - Test 4: Dimensions. This part is referred to with regard to determination of dimensions of winding wires in the parts of the DIN EN 60317 series of standards. For relevant definitions, general information and the complete overview of test methods of winding wires, refer to IEC 60851-1. The consolidated version includes Amendment 1 of EN 60851-2:2009 and thus sets the course for implementing important changes in the field of the DIN EN 60317 series of standards with reference to paper-wound wires. The responsible committee is K 413 "Winding wires" of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
