Overview

This part of IEC 60851 contains the test of the thermal properties of winding wires as specified in the series DIN EN 60317 "Specifications for particular types of winding wires". Part 6 contains the following tests: - Test 9: Heat shock; - Test 10: Cut-through; - Test 15: Temperature index; - Test 21: Loss of mass. With respect to edition 2004 the previous Table 2 "Heating period" has been deleted. The responsible committee is DKE/K 413 "Wickeldrähte" ("Winding wires") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
