This standard specifies dimensions for mounting flanges of metric subracks or chassis that are to be mounted into 19 inch cabinets or racks. Additional dimensions for subracks or chassis are in accordance with the IEC 60917 series and for 19 inch cabinets or racks in accordance with the IEC 60297 series. The responsible Committee is K 662 "Bauweisen" ("Mechanical structures") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
