Overview
This standard contains requirements and tests for AC semiconductor controllers and contractors for non-motor loads. The essential modifications concern the adaptation of this standard to the current version of DIN EN 60947-1 (VDE 0660-100) amongst others, the glow-wire test within the framework of material requirements, the performance requirements, temperature-rise tests and the incorporation of special tests (damp heat, salt spray, vibration and shock). The responsible committee is K 431 "Niederspannungsschaltgeräte und -kombinationen" ("Low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
