Overview

This standard applies for both periodic inspection and testing of welding power sources at specified intervals in order to reduce the hazards as well as for maintenance at specified intervals to reduce failures and for repair, that is, to restore to a safe and intended operating condition. The responsible committee is DKE/K 361 "Lichtbogenschweißeinrichtungen" ("Electric arc welding equipment") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
