DIN EN 61010-2-201:2014-01

The new standard DIN EN 61010-2-201 (VDE 0411-2-201) constitutes a part of a planned series of standards on industrial equipment for measurement, control and laboratory use. This part specifies the complete safety requirements for control equipment (for example programmable controller (PLC)), the components of Distributed Control Systems, I/O devices, Human Machine Interface (HMI)). Safety terms of general use are defined in DIN EN 61010-1 (VDE 0411-1). More specific terms are defined in each individual part. This part incorporates the safety related requirements of Programmable Controllers. Annex DD provides a cross reference between clauses of this standard and those of DIN EN 61010-1 (VDE 0411-1) or DIN EN 61131-2 (VDE 0411-500). The responsible committee is DKE/K 911 "Sicherheitsanforderungen an elektrische einschließlich elektronische Geräte für das Messen, Steuern und Regeln" ("Safety requirements for electrical including electronic equipment for measurement and control") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
