Overview
This standard applies to transportable circular saw benches with a saw blade diameter not exceeding 315 mm and intended for cutting wood and analogue materials, plastics and non-ferrous materials except magnesium, hereafter referred to simply as saws or electric tools. The following modifications have been made with regard to DIN EN 61029-2-1 (VDE 0740-501):2010-09: a) reformulation of clause 7 and b) modification of 13.1 in Annex ZD. The responsible committee is DKE/K 514 "Elektrowerkzeuge" ("Electric tools") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
