Overview

This standard applies to transportable bench grinders and combined bench grinders with a wheel diameter and brush diameter not exceeding 200 mm, a thickness not exceeding 30 mm and a peripheral speed not exceeding 50 m/s. With respect to DIN EN 61029-2-4 (VDE 0740-504):2004-03, the following modifications have been made: a) has been adapted to the current version of the Machinery Directive; b) the standard has been revised with regard to the content and editorially revised. The responsible committee is K 514 "Elektrowerkzeuge" ("Electric tools") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
