Overview
This standard specifies dimensions, requirements and tests for coaxial RF connectors of type 4.1-9.5 with threaded coupling. These connectors have a characteristic impedance of 50 ohms and can be used at operating frequencies of up to 14 GHz. They are designed for connection to all types of RF cables and microstrip lines in a microwave transmission system and are commonly used in cable networks. They are particularly suitable for applications in mobile communications systems such as GSM or UMTS. The responsible committee is DKE/UK 412.4 "Passive HF- und Mikrowellenbauelemente" ("RF and microwave passive components") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
