Overview

This standard describes SMP series push-on RF coaxial connectors having a characteristic impedance of 50 Ohm which are used in microwave systems, telecommunication, wireless transmission and other fields of application when connected to RF cables or microstrips. The connectors are applicable for a frequency limit of up to 40 GHz. The responsible committee is DKE/UK 412.4 "Passive HF- und Mikrowellenbauelemente" ("RF and microwave passive components") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
