Overview

This standard specifies dimensions, requirements and tests for RF coaxial connectors of series 4,3-10 with screw type, hand screw type or quick-lock type coupling. These connectors have a characteristic impedance of 50 Ohm and can be used up to an operating frequency of 6 GHz. They are typically used in outdoor applications for telecommunications, in mobile radio, in industry and in communications and radar technology. Due to their small size and weight, the connectors are suitable for the miniaturization of mobile radio network elements. Excellent values are achieved in terms of return loss and passive intermodulation (PIM). The responsible committee is DKE/UK 412.4 "Passive HF- und Mikrowellenbauelemente" ("RF and microwave passive components") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
