This part of IEC 61300 specifies two basic measurement procedures for the description of the spectral transfer characteristics of DWDM filter devices. As their name indicates, the distance of wavelengths of Dense-Wavelength-Division-Multiplex-Filters transmitted in parallel is short; they are an indispensible part of modern transmission technology. This standard is directed at manufacturers, users and testing laboratories which can test the continuous quality of the components by following common specifications of this document. The responsible committee is Subcommittee DKE/UK 412.7 "LWL-Verbindungstechnik und passive optische Komponenten" ("Fibre optic interconnecting devices and passive optical components") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
This document replaces DIN EN 61300-2-14 Berichtigung 1:2008-11 , DIN EN 61300-2-14:2006-11 .
