DIN EN 61508-4 (VDE 0803-4) contains definitions and explanations of the terms that are used in parts 1 to 7 of this standard. The responsible Committee is GK 914 "Funktionale Sicherheit elektrischer, elektronischer und programmierbarer elektronischer Systeme (E, E, PES) zum Schutz von Personen und Umwelt" ("Functional safety of electrical, electronic and programmable electronic systems (E, E, PES) for protection of persons and the environment") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Informational Technologies) at DIN and VDE.

Replacement amendments

This document replaces DIN EN 61508-4:2002-11; VDE 0803-4:2002-11 .
