Overview
This Part 9 of the international IEC 61557 series of standards specifies special requirements for insulation fault location devices that can locate insulation-faulty system sections in unearthed IT AC systems or IT AC systems with galvanically connected DC circuits with rated voltages up to AC 1 000 V, as well as in unearthed IT DC systems up to DC 1 500 V, regardless of the measurement method. IT systems are described in IEC 60364-4-41, among others. If standards contain additional information for the selection of devices, these should also be observed. Further information on insulation fault location can be found in the following standards: IEC 60364-4-41:2005, 411.6, and IEC 60364-5-53:2001, 531.3. This Corrigendum corrects the errors identified in the latest edition of IEC 61557-9 from 2014, and clarifies ambiguous wording. The responsible committee is DKE/UK 964.1 "Messgeräte zum Prüfen von Schutzmaßnahmen" ("Equipment for testing of protective measures") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
