Overview
This standard specifies the various marking codes for fixed inductances. The color coding shall consist of four rings. The first three rings shall indicate the inductance values and the last ring shall indicate the tolerances. In addition, a system for marking the date on fixed inductances with letters and numbers is described. The main changes compared to the previous edition concern the inclusion of new letter codes for the tolerances and the updating of the date coding system. The responsible committee is DKE/K 625 "Magnetische Bauelemente und deren Komponenten" ("Magnetic devices and their components") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
