Overview

This standard specifies requirements and tests for cable cleats and cable bundles used for securing cables and wires in electrical installations. Cable cleats provide resistance to electromechanical forces where declared. This standard also applies to cable glands whose cable retention capability depends on a mounting surface specified by the manufacturer. This standard does not apply to cable glands and cable ties. The responsible committee is Subcommittee UK 543.2 "Führungssysteme für Kabel und Leitungen" ("Cable management") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
