Overview

The standard specifies the information content of a set of message types that can be used to support many of the business functions related to meter reading and control. Thus, it describes how information from communication with meters can be integrated in the system interfaces for distribution management. Protocols for communication with meters are not described. At DIN and VDE (www.dke.de) the responsible national Working Committee is K 952 "Netzleittechnik" ("Power system control") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies).
