Overview

This standard specifies safety requirements and tests for connectors with rated voltages above 50 V and up to 1 000 V a.c. and rated currents up to 125 A per contact. The corrigendum concerns in particular specifications in clause 6.19 "Clearance and creepage distances" which are now written more precisely. The responsible committee is K 651 "Steckverbinder" ("Connector") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
