Overview
This standard defines process control equipment, for example measuring devices, actuators, motors, low-voltage switchgear, and so on, in order to facilitate fully automatic engineering workflows in the planning and maintenance of industrial plants and to allow both the customers and the suppliers of the devices to optimize their processes and workflows. The responsible Committee is K 931 "Systemaspekte" ("System aspects") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
