Overview

This part of IEC 61995, which is to be read in conjunction with IEC 61995-1, applies to devices for the connection of luminaires (DCL) 250 V, 6 A a.c. intended for household and similar purposes, for the electrical connection to final circuits rated not more than 16 A, without providing mechanical support for the luminaire. The responsible committee is DKE/UK 542.1 "Schalter und Steckvorrichtungen für den Hausgebrauch und ähnliche Zwecke" ("Switches and plug/socket connections for household and similar use") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.

Replacement amendments

This document replaces DIN EN 61995-2:2009-11; VDE 0620-400-2:2009-11 .
