Overview
This International Standard defines the fast PLC ISO/IEC 12139-1 profile for DLSM/COSEM for neighborhood networks. It uses standards developed by ISO/IEC JTC1 SC06 in ISO/IEC 12139-1, Power line communication (PLC) - High speed PLC medium access control (MAC) and physical layer (PHY). The fast PLC-ISO/IEC-12139-1 profile for DLMS/COSEM is used for data exchange and communication with meters. By using broadband technology for the transmission of DLMS/COSEM data in accordance with the relevant national regulations, the fast PLC technology minimizes bottlenecks in metering in neighborhood networks. This standard describes the technical specifications for mapping DLMS/CODEM data to the fast PLC ISO/IEC 12139-1 profile and provides examples. The responsible committee is DKE/K 461 "Messeinrichtungen und -systeme für Elektrizität" ("Metering equipment and systems for electricity") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
