Overview

This standard specifies the tests and measurement procedures and the quality assessment procedures for all types of reed switches which are operated by an applied magnetic field, including magnetically biased reed switches for use in general and industrial applications. The responsible committee is K 671 "Schaltrelais" ("Relays") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.

This document replaces DIN EN 62246-1:2003-04 , DIN EN 62246-2:2008-08 .
