This part of DIN EN 62264 specifies the object models and the attributes involved in the data exchange between categories and activities of DIN EN 62264-3 "Activity models of manufacturing operations management". Furthermore, DIN EN 62264-3 and this part of DIN EN 62264 provide a standardized definition and set of concepts and models for the integration of production management systems to improve communication between all units involved. The responsible committee is DKE/K 931 "Systemaspekte" ("System aspects") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
