The IEC 62282-4 series of standards for fuel cell technologies initially addresses topics such as safety, performance and interchangeability of fuel cell energy systems for propulsion systems, with the exception of road vehicles and auxiliary drives, in two parts. This Part 102 deals with fuel cell energy systems for electrically powered industrial trucks and provides uniform and reproducible test procedures for electrical/thermal performance and environmental behavior. This standard only describes type testing and its test procedures. Routine tests are not required, and performance targets are not specified in this standard. The responsible committee is DKE/K 384 "Brennstoffzellen" ("Fuel cells") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
