Overview
This standard DIN EN 62288 specifies the general requirements, methods of testing, and required test results for the presentation of navigation-related information on shipborne navigational displays in support of IMO resolutions MSC.191(79) and MSC.302(87). It also addresses the presentation of navigation-related symbols, terms and abbreviations. The responsible committee is DKE/K 738 "Elektronische Navigationsinstrumente" ("Electronic navigation equipment") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
