Overview
This standard contains the minimum initialization test and measurement requirements and severities a dynamic gain tilt equalizer (DGTE) shall meet in order to be classified as a component that meets the requirements of a DGTE in controlled environments. The requirements concern equalizers for compensation of a dynamic characteristic curve for category C - controlled environment. The standard is directed at manufacturers and users of fibre-optic equalizers, refers to the test standards of the IEC 61300 standard series and serves as reference in quality assurance. The responsible committee is DKE/UK 412.2 "Komponenten für Kommunikationskabelanlagen" ("Components for communication cable installations") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
