DIN EN 62552-1:2025-07

This part of EN 62552 specifies the essential characteristics of household and similar refrigerating appliances cooled by internal natural convection or forced air circulation, and establishes test methods for checking these characteristics. This part of IEC 62552 does not define requirements for production sampling or conformity assessment or certification. The standard differs from DIN EN 62552-1 (VDE 0705-2552-1):2021-06 as follows: a) Annex B: Requirements for test enclosures for built-in appliances, under-counter appliances, and under-table appliances have been specified in greater detail; b) Annex F: Test report, adapted to the data from the freezing capacity test; c) Annex ZA: The final test report has been updated. Typical application examples for this document include refrigerators, freezers, and wine storage units.
