DIN EN 62552-2:2025-07

This part of EN 62552 specifies the essential characteristics of household and similar refrigerating appliances cooled by internal natural convection or forced air circulation, and establishes test methods for checking these characteristics. This part of IEC 62552 does not specify a procedure to generalise the results from sample test results to a prediction of the characteristics of the whole population from which that sample was selected. The standard differs from DIN EN 62552-2 (VDE 0705-2552-2):2021-06 as follows: a) Clause 6 "Storage test": the arrangement of the packages has been described in greater detail; b) Clause 8 "Freezing capacity test": the temperature controller setting has been specified; c) Annex B "Wine storage cabinets and compartments, storage test": the assessment of conformity has been updated; d) Annex C "Temperature rise test": the temperature control setting has been specified. Typical examples of applications covered by this document include refrigerators, freezers, and wine storage units.
