Overview

This standard establishes definitions of main dimensions and related data and of mass specifications and loading conditions. It applies to small craft having a length of the hull of up to 24 m. This standard has been prepared under a mandate given to CEN by the European Commission and the European Free Trade Association to provide a means of meeting the essential requirements of the New Approach Directive 213/53/EC. This standard specifies relevant requirements of the aforementioned directive for recreational craft for the definition of basic boat dimensions and data and for hull length dimensions. The committee NA 132-08-01-09 AK "ISO/TC 188/WG 09 Main dimensions and documentations" at DIN-NSMT is responsible for this standard.
