Overview
This International Standard specifies a commonly agreed measuring method and is considered a valuable and necessary supplementation to complement the RDS standard IEC 62106 (second edition). The RDS measuring methods presented here are directed at all manufacturers of RDS receiver products, and in particular tuner modules with embedded RDS functionality, including TMC (see ISO/TS 18419). The standard describes the minimum RDS receiver performance requirements which concern three RDS receiver product categories. The responsible committee is K 742 "Audio-, Video- und Multimediasysteme, -geräte und -komponenten" ("Audio, video and multimedia systems, equipment and components") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
