DIN EN 62769-4:2016-03

The DIN EN 62769 series of standards defines the components FDI Package, FDI Server and FDI Client. FDI Packages are supplied by the device manufacturer and contain all the information required for device integration. The device definition includes management information as well as the device model. The consistency assurance of this device model as well as the communication logic to the device is done by the Business Logic. The description of the presentation of the device parameters and device functions is the task of the User Interface Description. These components of the FDI Package are described with EDDL according to DIN EN 61804-3. Additional elements for operating the field device (User Interface Plug -ins) whose basic concept corresponds to the FDT/DTM concept according to DIN EN 62453 have to be integrated. This part specifies the content of an FDI package. The responsible committee is DKE/K 956 "Feldbus" ("Fieldbus") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
