DIN EN 62841-2-11:2025-06

This part of IEC 62841 applies to reciprocating saws such as jig saws and sabre saws. This document addresses all significant hazards, hazardous situations, or hazardous events relevant to the power tools covered by this document. This document applies exclusively to reciprocating jig saws and sabre saws. The standard differs from DIN EN 62841-2-11 (VDE 0740-2-11):2020-11 as follows: a) the safety instructions for reciprocating saws have been revised in Clause 8, "Markings and instructions for use"; b) the requirement for blade locking on other types of reciprocating saws has been revised in Clause 19, "Mechanical hazards"; c) Figure 104, showing the minimum dimensions of the lock, has been replaced. This document aims to aid manufacturers and users in the development and testing of reciprocating jigsaws and sabre saws.
