Overview

This standard applies to hand-held sanders and polishers with the exception of disc-type tools covered by IEC 62841-2-3. The following modifications have been made with respect to DIN EN 60745-2-4 (VDE 0740-2-4):2012-11: a) requirements for transportable electric tools and lawn and garden machinery (up to now IEC 61029 and IEC 60335) have been included; b) content editorially revised. The responsible committee is DKE/K 514 "Elektrowerkzeuge" ("Electric tools") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.

Replacement amendments

This document replaces DIN EN 60745-2-4:2012-11; VDE 0740-2-4:2012-11 .

This document has been corrected by: DIN EN 62841-2-4 Berichtigung 1:2017-07; VDE 0740-2-4 Berichtigung 1:2017-07 .
