Overview
This document specifies requirements for prefabricated lintels with spans with a clear width of up to a maximum 4,5 m and made from steel, autoclaved aerated concrete, manufactured stone, concrete, fired clay units, calcium silicate units, natural stone units, or a combination of these materials. This draft standard does not apply to concrete or steel lintels in accordance with EN 1090-1, EN 12602 and EN 13225, respectively, where applicable. Prefabricated lintels can be either complete lintels or the prefabricated part of a composite lintel to be added on site. With regard to the German collaboration Working Committee NA 005-06-01 AA at DIN Standards Committee Building and Civil Engineering (NABau) is responsible.
