The present product standard for hydraulic hoses with wire braid reinforcement specifies requirements for four types of hoses. The standard does not contain requirements for fittings and is limited to the performance requirements for hoses and hose assemblies. This document has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 218 "Rubber and plastics hoses and hose assemblies". The responsible national standardization committee is Working Committee NA 045-02-12 AA "Gummi- und Kunststoffschläuche sowie Schlauchleitungen (Spiegelgremium zu CEN/TC 218, ISO/TC 45/SC 1)" ("Rubber and plastics hoses and hose assemblies (national mirror committee for CEN/TC 218, ISO/TC 45/SC 1)") of the Rubber Technology Standards Committee (FAKAU) at DIN.
