The text is based on UIAA-Standard B (International Mountaineering and Climbing federation), which has been prepared with international participation. This document (EN 892:2012+A3:2023) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 136 "Sports, playground and other recreational facilities and equipment", the secretariat of which is held by DIN (Germany). The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 112-04-05 AA "Bergsteigerausrüstung" ("Mountaineering equipment") at DIN Standards Committee Sports Equipment (NASport).
