This document contains requirements and describes implementation guidelines for RF cabling for bidirectional home networks; it is applicable to any home network that distributes signals provided via CATV/MATV/SMATV cable networks (including individual reception systems) with coaxial output. The home network used can be implemented with coaxial cables, symmetrical data cables, fiber optic cables, and/or WLAN. The applicable specifications in DIN EN 60728-101 (VDE 0855-101) are used. Layer 2 protocols and higher are not covered. Therefore, logical connections between end devices in the home network are not guaranteed in all cases. This document is used when the cabling of bidirectional home networks for all-digital RF signal transmission is to be implemented.
