DIN EN IEC 60728-113:2024-05

This standard is applicable to optical transmission systems for broadcast signal transmission that consist of headend equipment, optical transmission lines, in-house wirings and system outlets. This document specifies the basic system parameters and methods of measurement for optical distribution systems between headend equipment and system outlets in order to assess the system performance and its performance limits. In this document, the upper signal frequency is limited to about 3 300 MHz. The standard differs from DIN EN 60728-13-1 (VDE 0855-13-1):2018-05 and DIN EN IEC 60728-113 (VDE 0855-113):2019-05 as follows: a) IEC 60728-13-1, which deals with the bandwidth extension of broadcast signals in FTTH systems, has been merged with this document; b) a table has been added that contains the level of digital signals at the system outlet (Table 8). The systems specified in this document are primarily intended for television and sound signals using digital transmission technology.
