DIN EN IEC 61039:2025-11

This International Standard establishes the detailed classification of the N family (insulating liquids) that belongs to class L (lubricants, industrial oils and related products) in accordance with ISO 8681 and ISO 6743-99, affecting product categories that include products derived from petroleum processing, synthetic chemical products and synthetic and natural esters. This International Standard does not claim to address all safety issues that may arise in connection with its application. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate health and safety measures and to verify the applicability of regulatory requirements prior to its use. The standard differs from DIN EN 61039 (VDE 0389-1):2009-07 as follows: a) updating of the classification of insulating liquids, taking into account the largest number possible of substances that have, or may have, possible application in electrical components.
