DIN EN IEC 61300-2-34:2025-05

This part of IEC 61300 is for testing the resistance to solvents and contaminating fluids on fibre optic interconnecting devices, passive components and protective housings, and their functionality. The standard describes the test setup, conditioning, monitoring, recovery time, final measurement, and measurement uncertainties, as well as details with regard to the test report. There are no restrictions on the scope of application of this document. The standard differs from DIN EN 61300-2-34:2009-12 as follows: a) revised title; b) classification of the test method and the applicable liquids, thus bringing the document into line with IEC 61753-1; c) test severity levels. Application of this standard increases investment security for manufacturers and users and provides testing laboratories and manufacturers with defined specifications for testing.
