DIN EN IEC 61300-3-46:2025-11

The purpose of this part of IEC 61300 is to provide a standard for the measurement of guidepin bore and fibre bore diameters for rectangular ferrules used in connectors specified in the IEC 61754 series. This standard describes the test setup, conditioning, test conditions, monitoring, recovery time, final measurement, test severity, and measurement uncertainties, as well as details with regard to the test report. There are no restrictions on the scope of application of this document. The standard differs from DIN EN 61300-3-46:2012-04 as follows: a) addition of the fiber bore measurement; b) addition of the force measurement method; c) addition of Annex A on temperature dependence. Application of the standard gives manufacturers and users greater investment security, provides testing laboratories and manufacturers with defined specifications for testing, while ensuring product compatibility across manufacturers.
