Overview

Compared to DIN EN 61400-12-1 (VDE 0127-12-1):2017-12, DIN EN 61400-12-1 Corrigendum 1 (VDE 0127-12-1 Corrigendum 1):2021-09, DIN EN 61400-12-2 (VDE 0127-12-2):2014-02 and DIN EN 61400-12-2 Corrigendum 1 (VDE 0127-12-2 Corrigendum 1):2019-07, the following changes have been made: a) this first edition of IEC 61400-50-2 is part of a structural revision that replaces the performance standards IEC 61400-12-1:2017 and IEC 61400-12-2:2013. The structural revision does not contain any technical changes with respect to IEC 61400-12-1:2017 and IEC 61400-12-2:2013, but the parts relating to wind measurements, site calibration measurements, and the assessment of obstacles and terrain have been removed and transferred to separate standards; b) the purpose of the restructuring was to organize and revise the performance standards in a more time- and cost-efficient manner in the future and to divide the wind measurement requirements more logically into a series of separate standards that can be referenced by other standards in the IEC 61400 series for specific applications and which can then be maintained and further developed by the corresponding experts.
