DIN EN IEC 61554:2025-12

This document defines a system of dimensions for panel mounting of equipment. It is applicable to electrical and electrically operated indicating, recording and control instruments. This document applies to the following types of equipment with protruding frames: - equipment with square enclosures; - equipment with rectangular enclosures in landscape orientation; - equipment with rectangular enclosures in portrait orientation; - equipment with round enclosures and square frames; - equipment with round enclosures and rectangular frames. The dimensions of the equipment enclosures are not specified in this document. The only exception is equipment with round enclosures that are dealt with in Annex A. The purpose of this document is to establish dimensional interchangeability between instruments made by different manufacturers. A specified quantity of dimensions has been selected in order to meet this requirement. These dimensions will make it easier to accommodate equipment of different sizes in the same control room, make optimum use of the control room frame, and create an acceptable appearance.
