DIN EN IEC 61558-2-14:2025-10

This document applies to stationary or portable, air-cooled (natural or forced), single-phase or polyphase, independent dry-type transformers or equipment dry-type transformers: - auto-transformers and power supplies containing auto-transformers; - variable transformers with potential separation and power supply units containing variable transformers with potential isolation; - isolating variable transformers and power supply units containing isolating variable transformers; - safety isolating variable transformers and power supply units containing safety isolating variable transformers. The windings may be encapsulated or non-encapsulated. This document is to be used in conjunction with IEC 61558-1:2017. This document supplements or modifies the corresponding clauses in IEC 61558-1:2017 in order to transpose this publication into the IEC Standard: Particular requirements and tests for variable transformers and power supply units containing variable transformers for general applications. This document does not apply to transformers covered by IEC 60076-11. The standard differs from DIN EN 61558-2-14 (VDE 0570-2-14):2013-09 as follows: a) adjustment of the structure and references in accordance with IEC 61558-1:2017; b) description of structures that have been moved to IEC 61558-1:2017; c) new symbol for power supply units with linearly regulated output voltages and required changes to the pantograph position.
