This part of IEC 61784-5 specifies the installation profile for CPF 21 (FL-net). Annex A of this document describes various requirements for the CP 21/1 (FL-net) communication profile. These relate, among other things, to cabling, network features, pin assignments, and connectors. This document applies exclusively to the installation of CPF 21 (FL-net). The standard differs from DIN EN IEC 61784-5-21 (VDE 0800-500-21):2019-07 as follows: This standard shall be consulted, for example, when installing fieldbus devices in an industrial plant that communicates via the CPF 21 (FL-net) communication profile.
