This part of IEC 61784-5 specifies the installation profiles for CPF 3 (PROFIBUS/PROFINET). The installation profiles are specified in the annexes. These annexes are read in conjunction with IEC 61918:2018, IEC 61918:2018/AMD1:2022 and IEC 61918:2018/AMD2:2024. This document applies exclusively to the installation of the communication profile family CPF 3 (PROFIBUS/PROFINET). This document should be consulted, for example, when installing fieldbus devices in an industrial system that communicates via the PROFIBUS/PROFINET communication profile.

Replacement amendments

This document replaces DIN EN IEC 61784-5-3:2019-07; VDE 0800-500-3:2019-07 .
